Crosley Radio Products are warranted against defects in material and workmanship for a period of 90 days beginning from the date of sale to the original purchaser. Should the unit fail under normal usage during the 90 day warranty period, a request for RETURN AUTHORIZATION (R.A.) must be made by the original customer before returning the unit. Upon receiving the RETURN AUTHORIZATION number from the Customer Service Department, properly pack your unit in its original packaging. Retain instructions – The safety and operating instructions should be retained for future reference. 3. Heed Warnings – All warnings on the product and in the operating Instructions should be adhered to. 4. Follow Instructions – All operating and use instructions should be followed. 5. Cleaning – Unplug this product from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning. 6. Attachments – Do not use attachments not recommended by the product manufacturer as they may cause hazards. 7. Water and Moisture – Do not use this product near water – for example, near a bath tub, wash bowl, kitchen sink, or laundry tub; in a wet basement; or near a swimming pool; and the like. 8. Make sure the radio is plugged in correctly. Check to see that the power button is pushed in.

There is no Sound

Check to volume level by turning the volume knob. Make sure the ext./int. switch on back of radio is on int. (unless you are using external speakers, in which case it should be on ext.)

Turntable will not work

Make sure the function switch is set to phono. Try moving the tone arm to the right until you hear a click. Make sure the protective needle cover is removed.

CD does not play

Check to make sure CD is inserted correctly (label side facing up). Check that the surface of the CD is clean Make sure function switch is set to CD.

External Speakers

This radio is equipped with external speaker outputs. The speaker jacks for external speakers are located on the back of the radio. Beside the speaker jacks is a switch labeled (int./ext.) When using external speakers, this switch must be switched to the ext. position. Doing this turns off the internal speakers in the radio and redirects to power to the external speakers. If you decide not to use the external speakers, be sure the switch is on int. or the internal speakers will not work.

External Speakers

You can connect your radio to different sources using the auxiliary outputs. Connect auxiliary cables to the LINE OUT JACK (29) to the auxiliary inputs on the desired component. See the owners manual for the operating instructions on the desired component. The LINE OUT JACK only puts out a signal. Hooking up external speakers alone must be hooked up using the External Speaker Jacks.

Repeat Playback

To repeat a single track, choose the track that you want to repeat, then press the PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON(14) to start the track. Press the REPEAT BUTTON(11) once to repeat this track. The REPEAT INDICATOR(10) will flash. To repeat all tracks, press the PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON(14) to start the CD. Press the REPEAT BUTTON(11) twice to repeat all tracks. Once the CD ends, it will star over again from the beginning of the CD. The REPEAT INDICATOR(10) will remain on. To erase the repeat function, press again the REPEAT BUTTON (11) until the indicator (10) is off or open the CD door.

Press the PROGRAM BUTTON (6). ” 01″ will shown on the display and the PROGRAM INDICATOR (5) will flash. Press the FORWARD SKIP BUTTON(3) or the BACKWARD SKIP BUTTON(4) to select a track. Press the PROGRAM BUTTON(6) again to store the selected track number. Repeat steps 2 and 3 above to program other tracks. Press the PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON (14) to start programmed playback and the program indicator will be on. Press the FORWAR SKIP(3) or the BACKWARD SKIP(4) to select a track. Press the PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON(14) to start playing the selected track

Select the FUNCTION SWITCH (8) to select CD mode. Press the OPEN/CLOSE BUTTON(15) to open the CD DRAWER(19). Place a disc in the tray with the labeled side of the disc facing up. Press the OPEN/CLOSE BUTTON(15) again close the CD DRAWER(19). The display will show “—“ for a few seconds, then the total number of tracks on the disc will be displayed. “00” will be shown when there is no disc inside the unit. Press the PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON(14) to start playback. The PLAY/PAUSE INDICATOR(13) will light up. Adjust the VOLUME KNOB(9) to the desired volume level. To pause playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON(14). The PLAY/PAUSE INCICATOR(13) will flash. Press the PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON(14) again to resume playback. To stop playback, press the STOP BUTTON(12) and the PLAY/PAUSE INDICATOR(12) will go off.

Turn the function switch (8) to TAPE position. Insert a prerecorded tape through the CASS DOOR(21). Tape will slide into the cassette mechanism and start playing. Adjust the volume level by turning the VOLUME (9). For fast forwarding, press the EJECT/F.F (20) half way in. Pressing (20) again, will stop the fast forwarding and return the cassette to the playing mode. To stop and eject the cassette, press the EJECT/F.F (20) in completely. When one side of the tape finishes playing, the cassette will automatically stop.

Select the FUNCTION SWITCH (8) to select RADIO mode. Set the AM/FM BAND SWITCH (7) to the desired radio band (AM or FM). Select the desired radio station by rotating TUNING KNOB (17) Adjust the VOLUME KNOB (9) to the desired sound level.

Antenna
Antenna: for FM reception, the unit is provided with a WIRE ANTENNA (32), move the wire until the reception is clear and with no interferences. For AM reception, the unit is provided with a directional build-in ferrite antenna. Rotate the set to find the position in which the best reception is obtained. Do not connect the EXTERNAL FM ANTENNA (32) to any outside antenna.

Remove packing materials from unit. Note: Save all packing materials. Remove plastic bag covering radio. Remove plastic safety cover from A/C plug. Remove tie from A/C cord and untie antenna wire on back of radio. Open lid and remove styrofoam shipping material from turntable. Remove black tie-wrap from under the tone arm. Remove white protective needle cover by gently pulling towards the front of the unit.

Unwind the AC POWER CORD (29) at the back of the unit and connect it to a power outlet. Plug A/C cord into appropriate outlet.

Press the unit on by switching the ON/OFF-VOLUME ROTARY KNOB (9) located on the front panel to the ON position.

Accessory: ADAPTER FOR 45 RPM
TO PLAY THE 45RPM RECORD, PLACE THE ADAPTER (24) ON THE SPINDLE (22).

Select the FUNCTION SWITCH (8) to select PHONO mode. Set the SPEED CONTROL SWITCH (26) to desire speed (33 1/3,45 or 78 rpm). Place the record on the turntable. Pull the TONE ARM (25) slightly to the right side until hear the “click” sound to activate the turntable. Move the TONE ARM(25) by hand to the record and slowly lower it to the desired starting point. Turn the VOLUME KNOB(9) to adjust the volume to the desired level.

Untie the FM antenna and allow it to hang down in a straight line for optimum FM reception. If you have trouble tuning in an FM station, move the external FM antenna for best reception. Do no connect FM antenna to outside antenna.
